Edmonton Family Photographer | Muttart Conservatory Part 1

I was invited to visit the Muttart Conservatory for the first time with these two friends and their babies.  They met in an Edmonton Moms Group during their first pregnancies and have become great friends and now they have two babies each.  I have a childhood friend that I've known since our Moms met in Lamaze class so seeing these babies playing together made me so happy.  That's such a special bond, especially when you're grown ups!  

It was so nice to experience all the plants and colourful flowers in this very cold Edmonton spring!

My favourite area of the Conservatory was the special exhibition pyramid featuring the Canada 150 Tulip--a beautiful tulip that depicts the Canadian Maple Leaf within its petals! 

Calgary Lifestyle Photographer | A Progression of Light

This is Part 2 of the glamourous lifestyle session we did in Calgary! 

When we started the session, a Chinook was just coming into the city (or leaving?  I am very new to Chinooks!).  Have you ever seen a Chinook before?  This Albertan weather phenomenon is really something to see!  It's so strange to see this one giant cloud in a straight line overtaking the city! Being a BC girl, I had never seen anything like it before.  

Over the course of the shoot, the light changed into that beautiful Golden Hour period and I thought it would be neat to show the progression of light throughout the session!
